Making the transition from halogen to LED (light emitting diodes) is very simple when you use the right product. I’ve been talking about and using the MR16 LED bulb as a replacement for the halogen MR16. The change is easy and the impact is immediate and huge.
I just finished another job where my client has 28 spot lights fixtures on his property. Typically, he changes the halogen bulbs each year at a cost of roughly $500 (bulbs and labor). We went in and changed all 28 spot light bulbs to MR16 L.E.D. bulbs.

(1) His L.E.D. bulbs will last 30,000 hours vs. 2,000 hour halogen.
(2) We removed all 28 halogens at 35 watts each and replaced them with 6 watt LED.
(3) The led requires no maintenance so the $500 a year maintenance is gone
(4) 28 lights x 35 watts = 980 watts
(5) 28 lights x 6 watts = 168
The difference in energy savings is incredible and just one simple change…the upgrade pays for itself in one year.
Simply remove the old halogen and plug in the LED MR16 (must be a sealed fixture and 12v systems only).
